Choose the dinner schedule that suits you

See central San José from a double-decker bus, continue on short guided walks and finish with dinner. Choose an afternoon version listed from 3:15–7:00 p.m. or a night version from 7:00–10:00 p.m. Your hotel pickup will be earlier.

Afternoon dinner tour

The afternoon route lists the National Theatre lobby, Costa Rican Art Museum, Central Market, Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza de la Democracia, Central Avenue and National Monument. It finishes with dinner.

Night dinner-and-drinks tour

The later route lists Plaza de la Cultura, the court district, National Monument and Barrio Amón. It includes beer aboard and dinner with selected shots or beers and currently requires at least four reservations. Alcohol is only for guests of legal drinking age; request a nonalcoholic option.

Practical considerations

Expect sidewalks, street crossings, bus stairs and nighttime urban conditions. Stops can change because of traffic, demonstrations, closures or events. Keep valuables secure and remain with the guide.
